Panorama Soccer Club breaks ground on new field complex

The Panorama Soccer Club broke ground on a new complex that will allow all its youth soccer teams to play and practice in one place.
Located on Clay Street, just east of Lake Lumber Co. and Trustworthy, the new complex will include two regulation fields and several practice fields.
Jaime Waddle said the new field has been in the planning stage for at least five years.
“This is emotional for me,” Waddle said at a ground breaking ceremony on August 22. “It’s been a longtime coming.”
Waddle thanked a number of people and businesses for their donations to the new field including:
PRIDE, which donated 13 acres of land to the soccer club
Tammy Deal and Cyndi Atkins, the daughters of the late Bill Deal, who donated $50,000 plus in memory of Bill.
The Guthrie County Community Grant Foundation for a $24,674 grant
The Iowa Soccer Association Foundation for a $10,000 grant
Casey’s General Store for a $10,000 donation
An anonymous donor with a business match for $20,000
Matt Harmann and Harmann Excavating for helping with the project
PSC parents and players for their fund raising efforts
