Shirley Marie Carson Hall passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the New Homestead in Guthrie Center, Iowa.  
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the First Christian Church in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
Shirley, the daughter of Genevieve Buttler Carson and Archie Verle Carson, was born October 24, 1930, on a farm four miles west of Yale, Iowa.  On July 22, 1950, she married Darwin Fred Hall. Shirley enjoyed dancing, sewing, quilting, working on family history, collecting depression glass, working in the garden, sitting on the patio, going to casinos and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a Girl Scout leader, 4-H leader, cooked at the Panora Care Center and served on the Guthrie County Youth Foundation for 25 years.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 64 years, Darwin; her children, Deborah (Darrell) Hughes, Darby Hall, and Donna (Tom) Baker; her grandchildren, Casey Hall, Maria Barrett, Chelsea Hughes, Jesi Barrett, Chris Hall, Carson Hughes and Cory Hall; great-grandchildren, Jade Potter, Jenna Barrett, Jerron Barrett and Jaelyn Barrett; and one sister, Betty Slaybaugh.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Velma Reed; and son, Thomas Hall.
