17-year-old charged with murder in shooting death of nashville restaurant owner

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Metro Nashville Police Department announced the arrest of a 17-year-old boy in connection with the fatal shooting of a Nashville restaurant owner.

According to the police, 17-year-old Marcos Leyva-Hernandez was arrested on Thanksgiving night and charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of Hwarang Joo, which occurred in a parking lot on Bell Road.

Officers are now working to locate his twin brother, Emilio Leyva-Hernandez, who is still at large and also wanted in connection to the shooting.

The police are asking anyone who sees Emilio or the Ford Taurus the brothers were in on Sunday to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. The car has a rust spot and front-end damage.
