36-year-old man faces firearm charges after shootings in lynchburg

A Lynchburg man has been arrested in connection with multiple shootings and is currently held without bond at Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

Lorenzo Callands, 36, was identified as the suspect in two separate incidents: one on October 8 in the 4500 block of Hilltop Drive and another on November 5 in the 1000 block of Chowan Avenue.

During the investigation, evidence led the Lynchburg Police Department to obtain a search warrant for Callands’ residence. On November 26, investigators carried out the search and discovered three firearms, including one that had been reported stolen. A small amount of marijuana was also found in the home.
