54 year old woman killed in rose city knife attack; investigation ongoing

ROSE CITY – A 54-year-old woman was killed earlier today in Rose City, as confirmed by the Ogemaw County Sheriff’s Department.

Around 12:55 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in Rose City following reports of a domestic incident involving a knife. Upon arrival, they found a 54-year-old woman who had sustained multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A male suspect was taken into custody without any complications.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further details will be shared as they become available. Authorities assured the community that there is no ongoing threat, as the suspect and victim were acquainted, although the nature of their relationship is unclear.
