Alameda County Sheriff Seeks Help in Solving 32-Year-Old Triple Homicide in Hayward

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance to solve a 32-year-old triple homicide case in Hayward. On the night of December 27, 1992, Oscar Villapondo 20, David Villapondo 18, and Richard Villapondo 17 were shot and killed in an apartment located on Oak Street.

Witnesses described a young suspect, approximately 16 to 18 years old at the time, who was about 5 feet 3 inches tall with a medium build. The suspect was seen wearing a Raiders-style parka with the hood up, along with a Raiders cap.

After the killings, the suspect reportedly walked away from the scene and drove off in a golden or yellow Chevy Nova, which had been parked in front of the apartment.

The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about this case to come forward and help bring closure to the victims’ families.
