Andie MacDowell Opens Up About Embracing Life After Empty Nesting in South Carolina

Andie MacDowell is embracing a quieter, more fulfilling life in South Carolina after her children left home. In an upcoming appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she opened up about her transition to empty nesting and how it has brought her happiness.

While she initially struggled with the void left by her children, Andie shared that her daughter, Margaret Qualley, encouraged her to embrace the next chapter. Now, MacDowell feels like she’s truly enjoying life again, prioritizing self-care and her well-being.

Her journey from Hollywood to South Carolina also included selling her Los Angeles home, a stunning 7,000-square-foot property, in September 2023. As for her spiritual life, MacDowell expressed her interest in finding a local Episcopal church, although she’s also embracing the “nature church.”

Her current focus is her role in the drama The Way Home, where she portrays Del Landry, a family matriarch. The show airs on Hallmark Channel and streams on Hallmark+.

It sounds like Andie has found a great balance between personal growth and her career!
