Autumn Hamit Patterson has been appointed as Arkansas’ new Solicitor General, as announced by Attorney General Tim Griffin.
With a strong legal background, Hamit Patterson previously served as special assistant solicitor general in Louisiana and has held various legal roles, including as a senior attorney for the Texas Public Policy Foundation and with a Dallas law firm.
Her experience also includes clerkships for both a U.S. appeals court judge and a Texas Supreme Court judge.
She holds a law degree from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Furman University.
Griffin praised her legal expertise, emphasizing her importance in handling the state’s significant legal cases.
