Aizavier Roache, a Boston man, was sentenced to five years in prison for his role in trafficking illegal firearms from South Carolina to Boston. Roache, 31, was found guilty of firearms trafficking and conspiracy, following a multi-year investigation.
The investigation was sparked by a firearm recovered from a shooting in Boston, which had been purchased in South Carolina.
Roache and his co-conspirator, Trevon Brunson, trafficked over 24 illegal firearms into Massachusetts, some of which were later used in crimes.
The evidence included text messages, financial and travel records, and a video showing Roache transporting firearms. Brunson is set to be sentenced in March 2025.
