A 40-year-old Harrisonburg man died early this morning after his truck collided with a veterinary building at 3 a.m.
Jeremy Grear was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was rescued from the vehicle and taken to Rockingham Memorial Hospital. His current condition remains unknown.
The Harrisonburg Police Department discovered the crash while responding to a commercial alarm at Best Veterinary Services on Waterman Drive at 3 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found a Ford F-150 truck lying on its side after crashing into the building, which had triggered the alarm.
The investigation is ongoing.
The HPD accident reconstruction team and the Harrisonburg Fire Department are working together to gather details and determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
