OTTUMWA, Iowa – Eastern Iowa greets the day with crisp, chilly temperatures ranging from single digits to the teens. Morning wind chills hover in the single digits, with some dipping below zero. By afternoon, highs will climb into the 20s, though wind chills will stay in the teens. Despite the cold, the day promises mostly sunny skies. Overnight, temperatures will fall into the teens, with a chance of light flurries late at night and early Monday. Most of the region, however, will remain dry.
Tuesday brings a slight warm-up, with highs reaching the low 30s, followed by the 40s on Wednesday. While a few snow showers could develop in the northeast on Wednesday, the majority of the area is expected to stay dry. Toward the end of the work week, temperatures will dip again, with highs in the upper 20s and low 30s on Thursday and Friday.
