James Comer Targets Federal Employees in Biden Business Investigation

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is intensifying his focus on federal employees who he believes obstructed investigations into the Biden family’s business dealings. After spending two years scrutinizing allegations of influence-peddling by the Bidens, Comer now seeks accountability from employees in agencies like the FBI, Department of Justice, IRS, and SEC.

He accuses these “deep state actors of hindering the committee’s inquiries, including preventing IRS whistleblowers from pursuing crucial evidence and failing to investigate Hunter Biden despite significant evidence.

Comer also emphasized his commitment to holding those responsible for discrediting Hunter Biden’s laptop—initially dismissed as Russian disinformation—accountable for their actions. He pointed to the role of federal agencies in stalling investigations into Hunter Biden’s business activities, particularly highlighting the SEC’s reluctance to pursue his case.

In an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation, Comer reiterated that the committee’s next steps will involve oversight on federal bureaucrats who impede investigations. With the newly-created DOGE Subcommittee led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the committee plans to subpoena government officials for testimony, warning that those implicated will face difficult interrogations.

Despite acknowledging that the committee’s focus on the Bidens may shift in the future, Comer remains firm that his investigation has shed light on the Biden family’s actions, claiming that the Bidens’ political futures are now in jeopardy.
