JetBlue to End Boston to New York LaGuardia Service, Shifting Focus to Leisure Routes

JetBlue’s decision to discontinue its Boston Logan (BOS) to New York LaGuardia (LGA) service as of April 30, 2025, marks a significant shift in the Northeast’s business travel landscape.

The route, previously operated six times daily on Embraer E190 aircraft, had been a key connection between two of the region’s busiest business hubs.

With JetBlue exiting, Delta Air Lines will further consolidate its dominance on the route, increasing its daily shuttle service to 15 flights. American Airlines will maintain a smaller presence with four daily flights.

JetBlue’s focus will now shift to leisure travel along the East Coast, while continuing its BOS to New York JFK service with up to four daily flights, offering passengers alternative connection options.

For those seeking travel between Boston and New York, Amtrak’s Acela remains a strong competitor, providing a fast 3.5-hour city-center-to-city-center option.
