Massachusetts Woman Arrested for Hit-and-Run on Christmas Night in Connecticut

A Massachusetts woman was arrested on Christmas night in Connecticut after causing a hit-and-run accident while driving under the influence with two young children in her car.

Connecticut State Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run involving a purple Honda Accord near Exit 67 on Interstate 84 at around 6:45 PM. Officers quickly located the vehicle, which was driving erratically near Exit 72.

The driver, identified as 39-year-old Pheak Si from Lowell, Massachusetts, was accompanied by an adult passenger and two children, ages 2 and 7 months. Suspecting impairment, officers administered a sobriety test, which Si failed.

She was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, fleeing the scene of an accident, disregarding lane boundaries, and endangering her children.

Si posted a $1,000 bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court on January 8, 2025.
