A prostitution investigation in Lynchburg has resulted in the arrest of a suspected pimp in North Carolina.
Authorities launched the sex trafficking investigation in June 2024, focusing on activities in the 700 block of Leesville Road, Lynchburg.
Thomas Lee Thomas II, 58, from Thomasville, N.C., faces multiple serious charges connected to sex trafficking.
Thomas is awaiting extradition to Virginia, where he will face the following charges:
- Receiving earnings from male or female prostitution
- Commercial sex trafficking
- Conspiracy to commit sex trafficking
- Keeping, residing in, or visiting a bawdy place for immoral purposes
- Receiving money for placing or procuring a person at a location for sex trafficking
The Lynchburg Police Department, in collaboration with the Virginia State Police Human Trafficking Unit, carried out “Operation White Rabbit,” targeting the dismantling of the region’s sex trafficking network.
Search warrants were executed on Thursday in Lynchburg and Thomasville, N.C., with support from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in Lexington, N.C., and the non-profit group Freedom424.
The investigation remains active.
