Two fire departments in Pennsylvania, Hope Fire Company No. 2 and Chester Hill Hose Company, have announced their intention to merge in an effort to enhance services to the community.
In a joint statement shared on Facebook, the departments emphasized that combining resources will strengthen their capabilities and create a more efficient way to serve local residents.
The departments also extended the offer to the Reliance Fire Company, but Reliance has chosen not to participate in the merger, citing their commitment to future endeavors aligned with their mission.
Reliance Fire Company has stated they will provide more details at a later date but wishes the merging departments success.
Despite the merger plans, Hope Fire Company reassured the community that emergency services will remain unaffected, and the same high level of service will be provided.
A consultant has been hired to assist with the consolidation process.
