Pennsylvania Lottery Winner Claims $7 Million Cash4Life Jackpot

A lucky ticket holder in Pennsylvania has won a top prize in the Cash4Life lottery. The winning ticket, sold at GIANT Food Stores in Wind Gap, matched all five white balls (12-25-28-47-55) and the green Cash Ball (1) in the Friday, Jan. 3 drawing. The prize is an annuity worth $365,000 per year for life or a lump sum of $7 million, minus applicable tax withholdings.

The retailer will also receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winner has up to one year to claim their prize. Lottery officials encourage anyone who purchased a ticket at the store to check their numbers and, if they hold the winning ticket, sign the back before filing a claim.

In addition to the grand prize winner, over 4,800 other Cash4Life tickets sold in Pennsylvania won prizes ranging from $2 to $2,500. Players are urged to check their tickets after every drawing.

Cash4Life is a multi-state lottery offering players the chance to win $1,000 a day for life or $1,000 a week for life as second-tier prizes, along with several other prize levels. Tickets cost $2 and can be purchased until 9 p.m. daily.

Drawings occur every night. Players choose five numbers from 1-60 and a green Cash Ball number from 1-4. The odds of winning the top prize are approximately 1 in 21.8 million.
