San Francisco Bay Area Faces Cold Front, Rain, and Flood Advisories This Weekend

The San Francisco Bay Area is experiencing a challenging weather pattern, with persistent rain, cloudy skies, and 30-foot waves expected to ease soon.

However, a significant cold air mass is predicted to bring a sharp temperature drop, with overnight lows potentially reaching the 20s.

A slight chance of showers is expected to persist through Sunday afternoon, bringing minimal rainfall before clearing for the week. Over the weekend, heavy rainfall affected the region, with downtown San Francisco and Oakland receiving over an inch of rain, and some parts of the North Bay seeing nearly 2 inches.

Mount Tamalpais recorded 5.49 inches of rain, the highest in the area. While some areas experienced light drizzle, others saw hazardous conditions with poor drainage.

As a result, the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for several Bay Area cities, including Oakland, Hayward, Alameda, and Dublin, warning drivers to be cautious of debris, standing water, and possible shallow landslides.
