The disappearance of Chester and Aaron Barrett, a father and son duo of commercial fishermen, has prompted a multi-agency search effort along Maine’s coast.
Authorities are working to locate them after they failed to return as scheduled from a fishing trip aboard their boat, Sudden Impact.
The search is focusing on a 60-mile stretch between Lubec and South Addison, with the U.S. Coast Guard, Maine Marine Patrol, local fishermen, and Canadian authorities involved.
The pair had encountered difficult sea conditions and were trying to shelter in Cutler. The search resumed Sunday after being temporarily suspended due to poor visibility.
