U.S. Senator Steve Daines has introduced the bipartisan Wildland Firefighter Paycheck Protection Act” to make permanent the pay raise secured for Montana’s wildland firefighters through his previous legislation, the Wildland Firefighter Fair Pay Act signed into law in 2021.
Senator Daines emphasized the importance of recognizing the dedication and sacrifice of wildland firefighters, noting their efforts in safeguarding lands and communities.
