Happy Sunday, South Florida!
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. This weekend brought another spell of cooler weather following a weak front that passed through late last week. While it wasn’t as chilly as earlier in the week, many parts of South Florida experienced temperatures dipping into the 50s on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. With winds shifting off the water, ocean air is coming back, bringing milder temperatures to the region over the next few days.
As the new week begins, the high-pressure system that has kept South Florida’s weather pleasant and calm will continue drifting east into the Atlantic. This shift will turn winds to a southeasterly direction by Monday, kickstarting the warming trend we’ve anticipated. High temperatures in many areas will climb back into the lower 80s. Despite the warmer conditions, dry air and distant storm systems will keep the weather pattern quiet and dry to start the week.
Looking ahead, temperatures will keep climbing as the week progresses. Winds will shift further to the southeast and south, pushing highs into the mid-80s by midweek. This warming trend will occur ahead of a new front expected to approach Florida around Wednesday. Along with warmth and humidity, showers are likely to return midweek. Once the front moves through late Wednesday into early Thursday, overnight temperatures will drop back into the 50s, with daytime highs settling in the 70s. While this cool spell won’t last long, the comfortable conditions will extend through the end of the work week. However, the downside will be increasing wind speeds across the region, with breezy to windy conditions persisting into the weekend.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
