Three children abducted from fishersville: suspect headed to alabama

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office has identified Shanice Chante Davison as the individual responsible for the disappearance of three children from a bus stop in Fishersville this morning.

Davison, the estranged biological mother of the children, is originally from Evergreen, Alabama, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Authorities believe she is traveling with the children back to Alabama.

She is possibly driving a black four-door sedan, though the sheriff’s office has yet to determine the vehicle’s tag information.

“This is an active investigation, and we are committed to reuniting the children with their legal guardians as quickly and safely as possible,” said Sheriff Donald Smith.

There is no immediate danger to the Augusta County community, Smith added. It is believed Davison has crossed state lines and left Virginia.

Davison is facing charges for three counts of felony abduction.

The sheriff’s office has released a headshot of Davison and urges anyone who sees her or the children not to approach them. Instead, contact local law enforcement immediately.

Anyone with information about Davison or the children’s location is asked to call the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 245-5333. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-2017.
