Top Wrestler Anthony Knox Jr. Disqualified After NJ Tournament Incident

The incident at the NJ District 25 Wrestling Tournament at Collingswood High School has had serious repercussions for Anthony Knox Jr., a top-ranked wrestler in the nation.

After a violent altercation between spectators and his father, Knox Jr. ran into the stands, leading to his disqualification from the state tournament.

This disqualification ends his high school wrestling career, as the violation of the sportsmanship policy occurred when he left the bench during the disturbance.

While Knox Jr. expressed disappointment over the decision, he emphasized his commitment to supporting his teammates and continuing his wrestling journey at Cornell University.

The school and the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association NJSIAA have stood by the decision, citing the importance of maintaining integrity in high school athletics.
