Two men, Georgii Khubezhov, 21, and Albek Bagov, 30, have been arrested in Wyoming for allegedly using counterfeit vehicle titles while transporting vehicles across the state. Both face felony charges of bearing false vehicle titles, punishable by up to two years in prison and fines.
Court documents suggest the men were using a mobile printer to create fraudulent titles while traveling.
Khubezhov’s charge was filed in Cheyenne Circuit Court on December 30, with authorities indicating a link to Bagov, who was arrested two days later in Carbon County. Bagov is also facing misdemeanors, including driving a commercial vehicle without a valid license.
The incidents occurred after Wyoming Highway Patrol officers flagged down both men for irregularities involving vehicle registrations. In Khubezhov’s case, a fraudulent registration was discovered for his truck. In Bagov’s case, he was found with a fake Indiana registration, and his truck lacked proper license plates.
Additionally, officers found a mobile printer believed to be used for printing fake vehicle titles, and Bagov was cited for driving with a flat tire. Investigations into the men’s immigration status are ongoing, with an inquiry to Immigration Customs and Enforcement ICE still pending.
