Walmart Recalls 12,000 Cartons of Great Value Chicken Broth Due to Sterility Concerns

Walmart recently recalled over 12,000 cartons of Great Value chicken broth due to potential packaging issues that could compromise the product’s sterility, resulting in spoilage.

The recall was initiated on December 11, 2023, and announced by the FDA on January 8, 2024.

The affected cartons, sold in 48-ounce containers, have a “best used by” date of March 25, 2026, and a UPC code of “007874206684.”

The recall affects 242 Walmart stores across nine states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.

Walmart has urged customers who purchased the product to discard it and request a full refund.

While no illnesses have been reported, the recall is being taken seriously to protect customer health and safety.

If you have purchased the product, it is advised not to consume it and to return it for a refund.
