Weis Markets is expanding its presence with a new 280,000-square-foot mixed-use retail center, which will feature its fourth store in Delaware. The store is slated for grand openings between fall 2025 and spring 2026.
This will be Weis’ first ground-up development in Delaware, marking a significant milestone in its expansion.
The regional grocer has been actively growing its footprint. In May, Weis announced plans to open six new stores by 2025.
Additionally, in September, the company revealed an agreement to acquire two Pennsylvania supermarkets and other assets from Sunnyway Foods, which will be rebranded under the Weis name.
Currently, Weis operates 197 stores across the Mid-Atlantic, including locations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia.
