It sounds like there were quite a few disruptions in Oklahoma and Missouri recently due to crashes and winter weather.
The Will Rogers Turnpike crash involving a tractor-trailer carrying eggs definitely seems like a noteworthy one, especially given the costly nature of the cargo. It’s fortunate that the injuries were minor, but it still caused significant delays, especially with the five-hour closure of I-44 in Missouri, which is rare.
The response from both states’ National Guard units, through the SMART teams, really highlights the importance of interagency collaboration, particularly in times of bad weather.
It’s great to hear that both the Oklahoma and Missouri National Guard were ready to assist with stranded motorists.
